Personally Controlled Electronic Health Records (e Health Record)

An eHealth record is a summary of your health information that you and your chosen health services can see online—whenever you need and from wherever you are.

The eHealth record system provides an active online record that follows you as you move through Australia’s health system, capturing important clinical and treatment information at different points in time.

Registering for an eHealth record will help you take control of your health. It also provides better and faster access to more information about you by registered health professionals.

Your e Health record is protected by law. Your eHealth record will grow over time to contain a summary of your most important health care events. This could include details of a stay in hospital, a visit to the GP or when you have had medical tests.
